North West Chiropractic was established in 2009 when Dr van der Merwe moved his practice from Durban Westville to Potchefstroom.
His move was driven by his love for Sports Chiropractic (the North West University offers a diverse number of sporting codes and high profile events yearly) and secondly, the lack of Chiropractors in the North West province.
Our History
During athletes so-called winter training camps in Potchefstroom, the practice attracts a variety of world class sportsman and woman throughout the world during their so-called winter training camps in Potchefstroom.
The active lifestyle and holistic approach to wellness and wellbeing in the Potchefstroom community fits well with Dr. van der Merwe’s life motto of ‘Movement is Medicine’. Furthermore, Dr. van der Merwe also believes that every individual has the right to chiropractic care whether you are a weekend warrior or world champion.
